This is currently a known issue on macOS Monterey.
When logging in to your myNVivo profile using a Google account, NVivo Mac will crash. Please follow the steps below to login:
Once the password has been reset, please open NVivo and try to login again using the ‘Sign in with your email address’ option, enter your google email address and the password you just created.
Be advised that if you have Two Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on your NVivo account, NVivo will still crash due to this known issue. Please follow the steps below to disable 2FA:
Note: This process does not affect or reset your Google password in anyway, this will allow you manually enter your google email and log in to myNVivo.
- Go to myNVivo portal
- Enter your Gmail address and click ‘Next’
- Click on ‘Forgot password?’
- Enter your email again and click on ‘Send verification code’
- Enter the verification code you have been emailed
- Click ‘Verify code’ then ‘Continue’
- Enter a new password then click ‘Continue’
Once the password has been reset, please open NVivo and try to login again using the ‘Sign in with your email address’ option, enter your google email address and the password you just created.

- Visit https://portal.mynvivo.com in your web browser.
- Log into your myNVivo account
- In the bottom left corner of the portal, click the profile menu icon.
- In the profile menu under My Settings click Edit Profile
- On the profile page, click Edit Profile
- Under Security disable Two-Step Verification
Note: This process does not affect or reset your Google password in anyway, this will allow you manually enter your google email and log in to myNVivo.
