NVivo Crashing on MacOS

Symptoms:

1. NVivo launches, brings up two login windows and then crashes on MacOS 26 (Tahoe)
2. NVivo crashes on Mac OS 15.2, 15.5 with Apple silicon and 15.6 (Sequoia)
3. Log file error: “RIP register does not match crashing frame (0x0 vs 0x7FF8A7A76AE0)

Cause:

These NVivo crashes are likely occuring on Macs with various Apple M chips.

Solutions:

1. Reinstall Rosetta
   1. Open Terminal
   2. Run this command:
      1. "softwareupdate --install-rosetta".
2. If this doesn't fix the issue, you can also try activating using the license key rather than logging in.
