How to connect EndNote to online databases
Step 1 – Open EndNote and Access Online Search
- Open EndNote and select your library.
- Click Online Search in the group panel to the left.
- Click a database (e.g., PubMed, Web of Science, or your university library catalogue) to connect.
Step 2 – Search for references
- Enter author, title, or keyword in the search fields.
- Click Search — EndNote displays results from the selected database.
Step 3 – Import references into your library
- Select the references you want.
- Click the plus sign icon to add selected references to your EndNote library.
