Step-by-step instruction on how to install Prime 9.0.
This article assumes you already got the Prime .0 installation zip file on your computer. If you don't, please contact us. It also assumes you've got a license file updated for Prime 9.0 or the name of your organization's license server, and that that one is updated for Prime 9.0.
Locate the zip file and unzip it.
Open that folder and locate setup.exe and double click on it:
That will start the installer:
Click Next.
Here you need to select 'I accept ...' and 'By checking ...' to be able to get to the next step:
Click Next.
This screen can look a bit different depending on what's already installed on your computer. Normally you just click Install.
Then you need to mark that you want the converter to be installed. Here you can also choose to install the help files locally on your computer. But maybe it's better to use the online version as it will be updated when needed.
Then click Install to start the installation.
That will start the installation. Now you just need to wait ...
... until it's done. Then just click the Finish button. And you should see the Prime 9.0 shortcut on your desktop.
And you should also see new items in the start menu:
So use one of these ways to start Prime 9.0:
After a while you'll probably see this screen. If so, jump down to 'Setting up the license'.
If you don't, maybe Prime 9.0 already found a working license and you're done and can start using it:
Or Prime 9.0 starts in 'Express' mode:
Then you've got a license problem of some kind. If so, go to M' > Options > License and click on 'Copy All':
And then paste that information in a support case message to us.
Setting up the license
Mark that you want to 'Configure product to use existing license':
If you're using floating licenses you just enter the name of the license server or the IP address of it in the server field:
And if you've got a locked license you can browse for your license file:
If you've got an old license file, remember that it must be updated to work with Prime 9.0. Contact us if you need an updated file.
After clicking 'Configure License' you should see:
Then just click 'Exit' and start using Prime 9.0 and it will look like this:
