In Word, the EndNote toolbar can either be connected to your local installation of EndNote or your EndNoteOnline account.
A tip to see what the toolbar is connected to is whether there is a version number in the toolbar heading or not.
- A version number means it is connected to your local EndNote installation.
- No version number means it is connected to your EndNoteOnline account.
