As part of your purchase of EndNote (desktop), you are eligible for a two-year subscription to EndNoteOnline, but it must be set up through the EndNote Desktop software.

Please be aware of the following deadlines for creating EndNote Online accounts
- EndNote X8 registration deadline was January 2021
- EndNote X9 registration deadline is December 2023
- EndNote X2 through X7 were eligible for a two-year subscription to EndNote online, but it needed to be set up through the EndNote Desktop software. The registration deadline for all versions of EndNote X7 and prior has passed.
If you do not register for the online account before the deadline, you will need to upgrade to the current version of EndNote (which is EndNote 20 at this point)to be able to use the Sync feature.
