You can install and run Mathcad Prime 6.0 without a license. Either as the free 'Express' version with reduced functionality, or in a 30 day trial period with full functionality.
You only need the installation zip file. If you don't have it please contact us by submitting a request here at https://support.alfasoft.com.
First unzip the install package ...
... and double click on setup.exe. You will then see this screen:
After clicking next you see a screen the legal text:
You need to accept the software agreement and also tick the box at the bottom:
After clicking Next you will see what's about to be installed:
This can differ depending on what's already installed on your computer. Normally you just click on 'Install' and then you have to wait a few minutes ...
Until it's done:
After clicking 'Finish' you will hopefully see a Mathcad Prime icon on your desktop:
And new shortcuts in the start menu:
Using the 'PTC Mathcad Prime 6.0.0.0' start menu item or double clicking on the icon will start Prime:
Then if it can't find a license you will see the 'PTC Mathcad License Wizard':
To be able to get a 30 day trial license you need to create a PTC account so click 'Next':
If you already have a PTC account you can use that to log in here. But if you don't you need to create a new:
And you need to fill in the details on this screen:
When done you will be able to click on the 'Create Account' button:
After some verification you will see this and can click on 'Acquire License':
And the temporary license file will be downloaded to your computer:
And you will see this and can click 'Exit':
And can start using Prime with all features:
You should also have a mail from PTC in your inbox where you need to verify your email address. Attached to the mail you will also see a copy of the temporary license file. But if Prime works fine you don't need to use that one.
