To be able to use Collaboration Cloud, all users need to be on the same version of NVivo (NVivo 13/R1 or NVivo 14).
With NVivo 13/R1, you should be on the same operating system (either Windows or Mac.).
With NVivo 14, you can be on either Windows or Mac.
NVivo 12 and older versions of NVivo are not compatible with NVivo Collaboration Cloud.
Invite Others To Start Collaborating On Projects
Collaboration Cloud access requires 2 levels of permissions
- access to the license (via the MyNVivo portal)
- assignment to the workspace in the module (NVivo 13) OR assignment to the shared file (NVivo 14 and up)
There are 2 methods for completing the second assignment depending on the NVivo version:
1. For NVivo 13 (2020, R1), you use the Collaboration Cloud admin portal (see the link below)
2. For NVivo 14, this is done after the project admin/subscription owner uploads the initial project. NOTE: At this time, this MUST be done on a Windows device.
Once the file is uploaded in NVivo 14, the subscription owner can click on "Manage Team" in the ribbon.
