You can install and run Mathcad Prime 7.0 without a license. Either as the free 'Express' version with reduced functionality or in a 30 day trial period with full functionality. If you want the 30-day trial see this page.
You only need the installation zip file. If you don't have it please contact us by submitting a request here at https://support.alfasoft.com.
First, unzip the install package ...
... and double click on setup.exe. You will then see this screen:
After clicking next you see a screen the legal text:
You need to accept the software agreement and also tick the box at the bottom:
After clicking Next you will see what's about to be installed:
This can differ depending on what's already installed on your computer. Just click Next.
You can then choose if you want to install the converter so you can convert Mathcad 15 (or older) files (.mcd and .xmcd). And you can also choose to install the help files locally:
Click on 'Install' and then you have to wait a few minutes ...
Until it's done:
After clicking 'Finish' you will hopefully see a Mathcad Prime icon on your desktop:
And new shortcuts in the start menu:
Using the 'PTC Mathcad Prime 7.0.0.0' start menu item or double-clicking on the icon will start Prime:
Then if it can't find a license you will see the 'PTC Mathcad License Wizard':
If you just want to run the free version you just click 'Exit' and start using Prime Express:
You can later click on the Activate button to start a 30 trial if you want to. If you already bought a locked license and did all this just to see the 'HostID' you can go to the M' menu and choose 'Options':
And then look at the License tab:
You can click on the 'Copy All' button and paste that in a support case here https://support.alfasoft.com and we will generate a license file for you.
